Druxy’s Inc. Selects ECRS Catapult as POS Solution for all 50+ Locations in Canada
Armagh Cash Register Provides Total Convergent Solution, Including POS Software, Remote Communication to HQ, Toshiba TEC Hardware, & High Speed Integrated Credit & Debit via IP
Hamilton - Tuesday, May 24, 2005 - Armagh Cash Register Ltd., a leader in value-based retail automation software, hardware and services for the retail and hospitality industries, today announced that Druxy’s Inc., has selected ECRS Catapult as its point-of-sale (POS) solution to be installed in over 50 locations in Canada. Catapult is a flexible point-of-sale (POS) solution with multi-store enterprise capabilities, self-hosted gift card via internet, and high-speed IP credit & debit.
The latest-technology software system will be provided by Hamilton based, Armagh Cash Register Ltd., which will also include the Toshiba TEC ST-70 POS touch-screen hardware platform. The Catapult solution is designed to provide maximum value with lower startup costs and total cost of ownership. Designed for multistore installations, the Sybase database replication system will enable the chain to seamlessly maintain all store databases and receive store sales data to Headquarters using inexpensive high speed internet connections. Druxy’s will also be able to conduct all credit card, debit card, and gift card transactions through high speed internet, resulting in average transaction speeds of 3-4 seconds.
The Catapult POS system replaced an ailing fleet of Omron cash registers utilizing dial-up polling. The company sought a modern POS solution that could be easily modified to add new features and functions while simultaneously providing simplicity and sensibility at the store level. Catapult's superior design and feature functionality, as well as Armagh’s long-standing reputation for meeting customers' needs at a value point, proved to be critical factors in Druxy’s decision. The ability for Armagh to deliver a complete, convergent solution, including software, hardware and services, was another key factor in Druxy’s decision.
