Astrup Drug Implements ECRS Retail Solution Suite to Address Diverse Business Requirements
AUSTIN, MN – October 15, 2009 – Astrup Drug Inc. has announced the successful implementation of the ECR Software Corp. (ECRS) point-of-sale retail automation suite in their 11 Southern Minnesota locations. The ECRS CATAPULT™ system was selected by Astrup Drug to seamlessly automate their diverse retail business needs including: pharmacy system interface, convenience/fuel integration, warehousing, front-end inventory control, and centralized pricing and promotion management.
Astrup Drug’s unique retail business model includes a combination of pharmacy, convenience/fuel and large gift shops. ECRS was the only solutions provider able to tie all areas of the business together with one, field-proven retail automation system.
Astrup Drug utilized ECRS Project Management Services to ensure successful completion of the 90+ terminal project within an aggressive, 18 week time-line. ECRS installation specialists completed implementation of the first three locations with remaining sites being installed by Astrup’s internal project team.
